Mr. Williams proudly served in the United States Air Force and is an expert in national security

Mr. Williams is the senior vice president of strategy for the Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), an aerospace and national security contractor. He has held this position since 2021 and brings a varied background to the role, including 24 years in the United States Air Force where he achieved the rank of colonel. At SNC, Mr. Williams manages the indirect budget supporting the company’s largest business area. He also collaborates on strategic direction in terms of investments SNC makes in IRADs, as well as proposals and marketing expenditures associated with the firm’s pursuits.

Mr. Williams boasts stellar academic credentials, including a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University Eisenhower School, dating to 2006, and a Master of Business Administration from Xavier University, which he completed in 1995. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanics from the United States Air Force Academy. His professional industry experience is equally impressive and includes the role of vice president of aviation strategic plans and programs for SNC between 2017 and 2021 and senior director of business development at SNC from 2015 to 2016.

In the USAF, Mr. Williams was a B-2 system program director between 2010 and 2013, the year he retired from active duty, and from 2006 to 2009, he was the SOF C-130 director with PEO-Fixed Wing US Special Operations Command. Ultimately, Mr. Williams completed ample work on the development programs for aviation weapons as well as special programs and strategic programs.

Contributing to the SNC Aviation Technology Center installation stands as Mr. Williams’ most notable professional achievement so far, as the hangar is perceived as a significant marketing opportunity for the firm. He attributes his success to the examples set by his immediate and extended family, and he specifically names Lt. Gen. Dick Reynolds, Lt. Gen. Charlie Coolidge and James Geurts as impactful mentors. Mr. Williams’ vision for the future includes a continued effort to advance SNC toward achieving all company goals.
